Gods of Endeavors

The Gods of Endeavors rule over activities in the world. They are the masters of travel, combat, and survival skills. Of all of the Gods, save for the Goddess of Green and Growing things, they are the most likely to be worshiped by common people.

The Gods are:

Alintansalin, Lord of Travel

Aspect - Journey and Travel

Colors - Hunter Green and Sandy Brown

Cult Titles - Archer, Far Strider, Walker of Hidden Ways

Symbol - A green and gold arrow

Alintansalin reveals himself to worshipers and priests as a tall, fair-haired Ogre or human. Most of the time, he sports a full beard. His mastery over the hunt, travel, and archery are uncontested. Legend has it that Alintansalin still wanders the forests and dunes of the world, looking for huntsmen worthy of his calling.

The Priests of Alintansalin appear where their skills as archers and huntsmen will be of the greatest use against the Elder Gods. They are a solitary folk, little given to conversation or the gentle arts of civilized conversation.

Besa, Lord of Necrophilia

Aspect - Necrophilia and Corruption

Colors - Black and cream/yellow

Cult Titles - Dwarf of Happiness, Horn of Healthful Exercise

Symbol - A broke mug, filled with blood

The God of Depravity is pictured as massive, overweight Dwarf, with dark hair and wild, many colored eyes. His awesome appetites are well documented in legends, passed down from farther to son. Women are no less eager to hear of his exploits, but keep such tales among themselves.

Besa's cults are feared all over the world and universally reviled wherever they are discovered. At the same time, they seem frightfully seductive to both the rich and poor. When a nest of Besa's worshipers is uncovered, it contains people from all facets of society.

Erin, Mistress of Music

Aspect - Emotion, Music, Marriage

Colors - Red and Green

Cult Titles - The Rhymer, Laughing Song, Mistress of Love

Symbol - A silver strung harp

Erin, Goddess of Emotion and Music, is a misunderstood God. Many people regard her as the patron of madness and lust, a God worthy of nothing but contempt. Very few people worship her openly, although many make offerings to her for fertility or a lover's gaze.

In truth, Erin does rule over both madness and lust, but only as secondary aspects of her real concerns. She is responsible for all emotions, ranging from uncontrolled passion to the gentle consistency of a mother's concern for other children. Her priests are master musicians and healers, although they hide their skills and allegiance rather than risk censure.

Images of Erin depict her as a short Elven woman of exquisite beauty with black hair. Possession of any of her Icons is forbidden in Phi, Lopan, and some cities in Timro.

Viver, Lord of Battle

Aspect - Personal Conflict and Battle

Colors - Muted Blue and Green mottled

Cult Titles - Font of Tears, Fruit of Blood

Symbol - A curled clawed hand

The Lord of Battle is shown as a strange, twisted creature covered with a hard blue and green mottled shell, dozens of spines, and long claws tipping his fingers. Paintings or statues of him always show him either in or before a fight, tearing into his opponents with unbridled glee.

Viver's temples are always the center of a large and public 'warrior cult', in which men and women engage in mock fights to display their 'worth'. They also act as brokers for the services of mercenaries of all races.
